The Triángulo Umbral auditorium hosts the second Day of Dance for Peace in the World on Sunday from 5:30 pm, with dozens of local groups taking part.

Community groups in the port district are again using dance as a tool for living together. The day is organised by Asociación Calpulli, Escuela de Vida Caty Mari, ARRELS-Valencia, Otuayé, Anahata and Centro M'Estime Canet, with funding and support from the Cooperation Department. Councillor María Rubio says the event grows each year thanks to the town's collective involvement. The stage will feature tribal dance groups, batucada drumming bands, traditional rondalla ensembles, seniors' associations, line dancing and a dance school with its competition teams. Entry is free, and the event strengthens the role of participatory culture in Puerto de Sagunto, the coastal district that forms one of the town's two identities alongside the historic centre. The date links to International Dance Day, marked every 29 April since 1982 by decision of the dance committee of the International Theatre Institute, in honour of choreographer Jean-Georges Noverre (Wikipedia).
