Sagunto City Council gave final approval to the ordinance regulating Low Emission Zones (ZBE): it will restrict access, circulation and parking for the most polluting vehicles in the municipality. The rule, required by law for towns over 50,000 residents, aims to improve air quality and reduce traffic noise.
The Council has resolved the first September round of the Employment and Social Inclusion Plan (PEIS): it grants €10,656 in social emergency aid — for food, housing (electricity/water), glasses, dental prosthetics and medicines — to several dozen applicants, and denies other requests for exceeding income limits or not meeting the one-year residency requirement.

The Council has opened a public consultation ahead of amending the ordinance governing individualized economic benefits in social services, to align it with Law 3/2019 on inclusive social services and improve its clarity and practical application. The Council initially approved, on 6 August 2026, an amendment to the ordinance governing the Non-Tax Public Patrimonial Charge (PPPNT) for Sagunto's water and sewerage service. The file is open for public review for 30 working days after publication in the Valencia provincial bulletin: residents can examine it and file objections at the Tax Management office (Camí Real 65) or via the municipal e-office.
